What's Difference Between Power Supply And Rectifier?

Dec 27, 2017

A Rectifier converts AC (alternating current) to DC (direct current).

The rectifier circuit takes alternating current (AC) and converts it into a positive direct current (DC) output. Many power supplies, such as standard electrical output, produce AC voltage. Many handheld tools and other devices use DC. The rectifier is to provide desired DC power for the application.

A Power Supply provides power at the desired voltage using a transformer and may also as a rectifier to convert it to DC. Power supply includes AC power supply and DC power supply.

If the power supply input is AC and output is DC, it is the sambe as Rectifier.

Green Power could provide thyristor based DC power supply and IGBT based DC power supply for electroplating, electrolysis, electrowinning, arc furnace heating, monosilicon heating, polysilicon heating, data center, plasma heating, water treatment, sapphire heating, battery charger for AGV and so on and single phase AC power supply for induction heating such as Silicon Carbon(SiC), Sapphire and so on.
