Graphitizing Introduction


Graphitizing furnaces is connected with high current DC power supply, by means of the heating (2600°C-3300°C) produced by the DC current passing through to the furnace, baking carbon to convert to graphite.

The graphitizing furance is also called Acheson furnace.

Graphitizing Transformer Rectifier Brief Introduction


The rectifier transformer have high voltage 3 phase input, the output of transformer is used as input to the rectifier through flexible bus bars to produce 0-50V DC on rectifier output terminal and maintain 100kA DC current across the load. 

The transformer is OFAF cooled and rectifier water cooled. 

Both transformer and rectifier is mounted on a self powered trolley which can move on a metallic rail track, which can be moved on rails from a furnace to the other during heat reduction.

◆ The system adopts 12 pulse double star with IPT(inter phase transformer) in-phase counter parallel technology circuit, which has below advantage.

Double star with in-phase counter parallel technology, primary with voltage regulation.

In-phase counter parallel technology advantage:

Adopt in-phase counter parallel technology could reduce eddy current loss and the interference caused by the strong magnetic field, so that eddy currents do not exist, like below figure shown.
